Mental
Blocks and Ruts
Get in the Way

Mental
ruts are the byproducts of long repetition of the same thought
patterns. We have dug these deep channels in our mind by
repeating the same thought patterns over and over.
These
ruts have become so familiar as to be invisible now to us.
We can't even see the thought patterns in our own
mind. We take them for granted. We've lost sight of the
fact that we have the choice of other ways of
thinking.
It's
like losing flexibility in a muscle, but worse, because
with a muscle we can detect it right away. Seeing the mind
without the mind's habits getting in the way is quite a
trick.
That's
why Solution Stimuli work. They are the "mental tricks"
required to pull off this paradoxical bootstrap operation.
