From Chapter 10: Improving Inner Visibility -
Allowing A Wider Range Of Material Through The Verbalizer

Know that the main value
of developing
your powers of observation is realized
when you turn these powers inward:

head action
seen frame
by
frame
is revelational.

You can learn more by turning
the spotlight inward for a minute
than you can
from all that you observe
externally in a lifetime.

This is especially true of self-observation
during behavior you regard as most trivial
or habitual.

The ultimate objective is to see

each separate move

your mind makes.

This requires focused attention
based on the speed of action
and on the fact that the head action
is at first perceived only dimly,
as a result of long outward focus.
